Dear Wigleaf,

Interestingly, this is the very first postcard I've ever written. It is (or rather was) on the list of things that I've never attempted. Things like:

kissing in the rain.
going on a hot air balloon,
riding a motorcycle,
seeing the northern lights,
surfing,
riding in a sled pulled by dogs,
eating sushi,
watching The Godfather,
reading Moby Dick,
experiencing snowfall,
skydiving,
going to a concert,
milking a cow,
sleeping in an igloo.
watching a caterpillar turn in a butterfly,

falling in love: truly, madly, completely.

There are many, many more things that I haven't done; probably pages of them. I could probably write a book about all the things I've never done — they'd outweigh the things I have done by several hundred grams, I'd imagine.

I've written this postcard now, though, so that makes the list one item lighter.

Who knows?

Maybe this will be the start of a new list:
Things I've finally done.

Some of these things are tough for me to do, like finding an igloo or not getting kicked in the face by an angered cow, or like saying I love you. Yet, these are the important things — things that I desperately need to say, things that I desperately need to do. And, would you look at that: it looks like there may be some rainfall today!

Please take care,
Shiksha Dheda
